If you say that someone goes to great lengths to achieve something, you mean that they try very hard and perhaps do extreme things in order to achieve it.
My brother is a teacher and I’m hoping to do something along the same ~line~ (nonstandard).
My brother is a teacher and I’m hoping to do something along the same *lines* (standard).
Note that it is correct to say “along the line” or “down the line” but one has to say “along the same lines”.
Aliko Dangote is a ~moneybag~ (nonstandard).
Aliko Dangote is a *moneybags* (standard).
Note that while “moneybag” is a bag for holding money, a rich person is called a moneybags.
