WON’T or WONT?
I ~wont~ go there without your consent (nonstandard).
I *won’t* go there without your consent (standard).
Won’t is the short form of “will not”.
He spoke for hours as it’s his ~won’t~ (nonstandard).
He spoke for hours as it’s his *wont* (standard).
If someone is wont to do something, they often or regularly do it. It can also be used as an adjective and it is usually followed by a verb in the present form:
Then, he was ~wont to teaching~ at every opportunity. ❌
Then, he was *wont to teach* at every opportunity. ✅
