SEMBLANCE or RESEMBLANCE?

This lady bears a ~semblance~ to her mum (nonstandard).
This lady bears a *resemblance* to her mum (standard).
If there is a resemblance between two people or things, they are similar to each other.

A ~resemblance~ of normalcy has returned to the area (nonstandard).
A *semblance* of normalcy has returned to the area (standard).
If there is a semblance of a particular condition or quality, it appears to exist, even though this may be a false impression.
