Who is a celebrant?
1. A celebrant is a priest who leads a religious ceremony, or a person who leads a ceremony such as a marriage or a funeral:
The visiting reverend was a good celebrant.
2. A celebrant is a person who attends a celebration:
The celebrants just ate without presenting any gifts to the couple.
3. In North American and Nigerian English, a celebrant is also someone who celebrates something:
The celebrants have to be invited to dance now.
