Back in the day, I used to write poems (standard). Back in the day is used to refer to an earlier time, especially one the speaker remembers fondly.
Tyson would defeat anyone in the first round in his hey days (nonstandard).
Tyson would defeat anyone in the first round in his heyday (standard).
Heyday is the period of a person’s or thing’s greatest success, popularity, activity, or vigour.
