It doesn’t matter who is involved; this is business (nonstandard).
It doesn’t matter who is involved; business is business (standard). The expression “Business is business” is used for telling someone that people do business to make money and therefore other things, such as people’s feelings, do not matter.
It is a low-paying job (nonstandard).
It is a low-paid job (standard). The adjective “low-paid” means to earn or provide low pay.
She’s the life wire of the organisation (nonstandard).
She’s the live wire of the company (standard). An energetic and unpredictable person is said to be a live wire.
