ON SECOND THOUGHT(S) or WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT?
~On a second thought~, I would go for eba (nonstandard).
*On second thoughts*, I would go for eba (standard; UK).
*On second thought*, I would go for eba (standard; US).
The expression, on second thought(s), is used when you want to change a decision you have made. It is different from saying “without a second thought”.
She will spend all her money on a dress ~without second thought~ (nonstandard).
She will spend all her money on a dress *without a second thought* (standard).
If you do something without a second thought, you do it without first considering if you should do it or not.
