INDICATING OWNERSHIP WITH THE APOSTROPHE

Rule 5
When a thing is owned by two or more persons, the last to be mentioned reflects the ownership:
Kunle’s, Dele’s and Esther’s slot. ✖️
Kunle, Dele and Esther’s slot. ✔️

Rule 6
When different items are differently owner by two or more persons, each person reflects ownership:
Kunle’s, Dele’s and Esther’s slots. ✖️

Rule 7
Apostrophe is also used with certain idioms:
Donkey years ✖️
Donkey’s years ✔️

A stone throw ✖️
A stone’s throw ✔️
