When the noun/pronoun is in plural form, the verb must be in plural form too. Note that while the plural form of noun usually takes s, the plural form of the verb does not take s:

*Exceptions to the plural noun/pronoun-plural verb rule:*
When two or more nouns are used in a complementary sense, the verb will be singular:
~Rice, beans, plantain and beef are~ my best meal. ❌
*Rice, beans, plantain and beef is* my best meal. ✅
