Common Errors

I think she is ~panic~ (nonstandard).
I think she is panicky (standard). Panic is both a noun and a verb but the adjective is panicky.
She was in panic throughout.
Don’t panic if you want to do it well.
Don’t be panicky .

He plays ~truancy~ from school (nonstandard).
He plays truant from school (standard). Although truancy is the action of staying away from school without good reason, to play truant is a fixed expression for saying a person engages in truancy.
