All together means “with each other”, and is similar to together.
He stopped the business ~all together~ in 2012 (nonstandard).
He stopped the business *altogether* in 2012 (standard).
Altogether means “completely” or “in total”.
He sorted the bill *altogether* at the venue since his people were *all together*.
