There is a serious ~go-slow~ on the road to my house (Popular Nigerian English).
There is *traffic jam/gridlock* on the road to my house (Standard English).
Gridlock is the situation that exists when all the roads in a particular place are so full of vehicles that none of them can move.
In standard English, a go-slow is a protest by workers in which they deliberately work slowly in order to cause problems for their employers:
I suspect a *go-slow* among the staff. ✅
He frowns always; I think he’s a ~sadist~ (Popular Nigerian English).

If you describe someone or something as melancholic, you mean that they are very sad.
