It’s time we ~leave~ for Lagos (nonstandard).
It’s time we *left* for Lagos (standard).
It’s time, it’s high time, it’s about time are all used to say it is past the time when something should have happened. The verb that follows should be in past tense when a noun or pronoun comes after any of those expressions, but should be in the present tense and plural form when “to” follows the expression:
It’s high time Tunde resigns. ❌
It’s high time Tunde resigned. ✅
It’s high time to resigned. ❌
It’s high time to resign. ✅
