CONSIST and COMPRISE
The committee ~comprises of~ experienced teachers (nonstandard).
The committee *comprises* experienced teachers (standard).
“Comprise” does not attract the preposition “of” except it is used in a passive construction:
The committee is *comprised of* experienced teachers (standard).
The committee ~consists~ experienced teachers (nonstandard).
The committee *consists of* experienced teachers (standard).
While “comprises” is used without the preposition “of”, “consists” is used with the preposition “of”.
