REVERT or REVERSE?

She was frustrated so she ~reversed to~ smoking (nonstandard).
She was frustrated so she ~reverted back to~ smoking (nonstandard).
She was frustrated so she *reverted to* smoking (standing).
When people or things revert to a previous state, system, or type of behaviour, they go back to it.

I will not ~revert~ the decision for your sake (nonstandard).
I will not ~reverse back~ the decision for your sake (nonstandard).
I will not *reverse* the decision for your sake (standard).
When someone or something reverses a decision, policy, or trend, they change it to the opposite decision, policy, or trend.
