APOSTROPHE
The punctuation mark, apostrophe, performs the following functions in English:
1. It is used to pluralise items such as numbers and letters:
Underline the ~ts~ in the sentence (nonstandard).
Underline the *t’s* in the sentence (standard).
Circle the ~0s~ in the solution (nonstandard).
Circle the *0’s* in the solution (standard).
2. Apostrophe is also used to indicate the omission of a letter or letters in a word:
International- int’l. ✅
Cannot- can’t. ✅
