ON PERSONAL PRONOUNS

~My friend and her~ came here this morning (nonstandard).
*My friend and she* came here this morning (standard).
The subjective pronoun should be used in the subject position before the verb of the sentence.

We gave ~Kunle and she~ the award (nonstandard).
We gave *Kunle and her* the award (standard).
The objective form is used after transitive verbs like give.

Who did it?
It was ~her~ (nonstandard).
Who did it?
It was *she* (standard).
The subjective form is used in the subject complement position after verbs like is, am, are, was and were.
