To steer clear is to avoid someone or something that seems unpleasant, dangerous, or likely to cause problems.
We will start ~any moment from now~ (nonstandard).
We should start any moment (standard).
We should start *any moment now* (standard).
If you say that something will or may happen at any moment or any moment now, you are emphasing that it is likely to happen very soon.
