TAG QUESTION
3. When there is no auxiliary verb in a sentence, “do”, “does” or “did” forms the tag. “Do” forms the tag when the sentence is in present tense and the subject is plural.
We eat. Don’t we?
“Does” forms the tag when the sentence is in present tense and the subject is singular.
She comes. Doesn’t she?
“Did” forms the tag when the sentence is in present tense and the subject is either singular or plural.
They ate. Didn’t they?
Now put yourself to the test.
1. The lady never listens.
2. The students allowed him use it.
3. He does come for class.
4. The ladies revealed the secret.
