Note that it is appropriate to say the committee was comprised of seven professors.
The man ~entered into~ the building (nonstandard).
The man entered the building (standard).
When “enter” means to physically go into a place, it does not attract the preposition “into”. However, when enter means to get involved in a deal or agreement, it attracts the preposition into: We shall enter into an agreement with our partners.
