SHOEMAKER or COBBLER?

A shoemaker is a person who makes shoes and other footwear as a profession. Note that it is written as a single word and not two words:
Shoemaker ✔️
Shoe maker ✖️

A cobbler is someone whose job is to mend or polish shoes. Although the Nigerian itinerant cobblers may not even respond if they are not called shoemakers, it is essential to still know what obtains in standard usage.

It should also be noted that footwear is a non-count noun:

You need some footwears ✖️.
You need some footwear ✔️.
