WORK or WALK?
We go for ~a road walk~ everyday (nonstandard).
We go for ~roadwork~ everyday (nonstandard).
We go for *a walk* everyday (standard).
A walk is a journey that you make by walking, usually for pleasure while roadwork is repairs or other work being done on a road.
*Roadwork* on Lagos-Badagry road continues.
Note that “roadwork” is an uncountable noun and should not attract “a”.
I’ve met people from all ~works~ of life (nonstandard).
I’ve met people from all *walks* of life (standard).
The walk of life that you come from is the position that you have in society and the kind of job you have.
