SEND-OFF or SEND FORTH?
She deserves ~a good send-forth~ for her impact (nonstandard).
She deserves *a good send-off* for her impact (standard).
If a group of people give someone who is going away a send-off, they come together to say goodbye to them. When used in this sense, the word attracts a hyphen: send-off.
Note that as a phrasal verb, you can also send off a letter or package:
He *sent off* copies to other scholars to read (standard).
When you send off a letter or package, you send it somewhere by post.
Send forth is only used as a phrasal verb to mean:
To produce:
Plants *send forth* new leaves. ✅
To issue as a publication:
They have *sent forth* copies of his articles for assessment. ✅
To emit or discharge:
The flower *sent forth* a sweet odour. ✅
