English for Today by Ganiu Abisoye Bamgbose (Dr GAB)

INDEED or IN DEED?

Use “indeed” to show emphasis:
She is beautiful indeed!

Use “in deed” to mean “in action”:
She is beautiful in deed!

Indeed she betrayed her husband, but it wasn’t in deed.
